In a major conservation milestone, a rare pair of Leadbeater’s Possums has been released into a new breeding habitat near Healesville Sanctuary in Victoria.
The dynamic duo – lowland male Mercury and highland female Narvi – are now settling into the Coranderrk Bushland Reserve, offering fresh hope for their critically endangered species.
This long-awaited move marks a bold step in saving one of Victoria’s most iconic and elusive native animals.
