These fin-tastic shots show a group of dolphins aiming for space as they dive in and out of the water showing off their acrobatic skills. The dolphins tear through the waves so fast that it becomes near impossible to catch them in mid-air, but when they do, they leap over 10 feet above the water. This footage shows the dolphins performing their high dives and incredible skills for the photographer. Jodi Frediani, 75, snapped the talented bunch in action on the north side of Monterey Bay, California, USA. The photographer, also from California, said: “How can anyone not love to see dolphins fly through the air like birds? Their joy is infectious! “The common dolphins seem to be the best flyers we have! They are so athletic and quite literally fly through the air with the birds. “Any day on the water is special. But a day with common dolphins flying like birds is made that much better. “They seem to have made themselves at home here, feeding, along with other dolphin species and humpback whales, on the plentiful anchovies in the bay.”
