Check out these awesome glow in the dark hair designs that are created with neon UV hair dye.
Jonas Lima Pereira decided that he wanted to show his talent for art in a unique way, by using hair instead of a blank canvas.
By using neon UV (Ultraviolet) hair dye, Jonas was able to design stand-out art pieces on his customers’ hair, including popular pop culture inspirations, like the world known video game The Simpsons, Snoop Dogg, Grand Theft Auto, the Joker from Batman and US rapper, Eminem.

He started his designs by drawing them on a computer, with the hair being prepared for the art to be applied.
The designs took around 20 minutes to apply and then Jonas used his neon UV paint to make the art come to life.
Jonas, from São Paulo, Brazil, said: “I’ve been doing UV hair designs for the past five years.
“During this time, I’ve developed specialized techniques to create a unique effect, from designing stencils and using neon paints to preparing designs on paper for precise application on hair.”

He added: “Each design takes about 10 to 20 minutes to apply, but the complete process, including the haircut, can last between 50 minutes to an hour.
“My creative process starts with developing the art on the computer, where I prepare the base design.
“Then, I add some manual details to personalise it and give it a unique touch.
“Before all that, I do the full haircut preparation to make sure the look is ready to receive the design.”

The idea to create UV designs came from Jonas’ desire to innovate and stand out in the world of barbering, bringing a unique art form to my audience.
He explained: “From the start, I wanted to incorporate urban culture and an underground style into haircuts, something that connects with the look for parties, events, and social media.
“My biggest inspiration came from my grandfather, who has always been an example of honesty, hard work, and dedication.
“He gave me a space in his garage to start and encouraged me to follow my path and build something with my own hands.”

Jonas wanted to offer a unique experience for his clients, transforming each cut into a work of art.
He began exploring materials, techniques, and neon paints to create something beyond the ordinary—something that truly catches the eye.
He explained: “My desire to create these designs also came from my love for street culture and artists who defy the norm.
“Every time I develop a new UV design, I feel like I’m bringing a bit of that creative and independent spirit that my grandfather taught me, and it has become an essential part of what I do”

He added: “People usually say that I deserve recognition and fame for what I do and comment that one day I’ll be very wealthy.
“They’re impressed by the details and glow of the designs, especially under blacklight, and they talk about how much this adds personality and style.
“I love creating game-themed designs like GTA San Andreas and Call of Duty, but I’m also really into creating designs inspired by major rappers and people who made history.
“These are my favourites to work on because they strongly connect with urban culture and art.”
