A man received thousands of online applications from women who wanted to go on a date with him after his sister played cupid.
Without anyone to take to his sister’s wedding, Mady Fischelli, decided to play matchmaker for her younger brother, Connor Fischelli, by taking to social media to find him the perfect match.
Expecting only a handful of responses, the video, which was uploaded to TikTok, exploded as Mady received over 4,000 applicants from interested women.

Mady, who is an influencer from Dallas, Texas, USA, said: “I really decided to play matchmaker for him on a whim.
“He said he’d be open to having a wedding date but was having a hard time meeting a good girl with a good head on her shoulders.
“I didn’t tell him I was going to make a TikTok, but with my platform and younger girls following me, I thought ‘why not’.
“I figured I could also help filter through the girls to find him a good wedding date.”

Connor was open to having a wedding date but found difficulty in finding someone in time for the wedding taking place over the Memorial Day weekend.
Due to the high volume of applications Mady and Connor received, they stayed up all night going through each one and were forced to get the help of the parents to also sort through them.
Applicants who submitted a video of themselves would get priority as they could see them face-to-face whilst also showing they were willing to go the ‘extra mile’.

Despite the thousands who applied, Connor went out with just one person who was his date to his sister’s wedding.
Speaking about the viral dating life she created for her brother, she said: “I wasn’t expecting it to blow up at all, my TikTok’s get traction but definitely not a million views.
“I was expecting maybe just a few DMs, but I received thousands!”

Maddy added: “We said on the application video that if they submit a video about themselves on the google form, then they would get priority.
“This was super helpful to see the girls face-to-face and see which ones wanted to go the extra mile!
“So, we started through those, then started to narrow down from who lived near Texas.
“We looked up hundreds of Instagram accounts that night – even my parents helped sort through them!”

The social media influencer added: “He was shocked that I posted it, a little shy but also excited.
“He felt bad because every single girl seemed amazing, and he wished he could taken them all!
“It was very unexpected. Since it was so random of a post, and so much came from it, we found it so wild!”
