This confident woman is embracing her natural body hair and is encouraging you to do the same.

Esther Calixte-Bea had always struggled with her self-confidence as a youngster due to her being taught that body hair on a woman wasn’t ‘natural.’

She has had chest hair since the age of 11 but decided to stop shaving it off after it caused her painful bumps and scars.

She said: “When I was young, I was always very insecure, I hated my appearance because I was hairy.

“I don’t date guys that have a fetish for hairy women because I don’t like being objectified, and I want someone to be with me because they like me for who I am.”

Esther travelled to Ivory Coast with her family in 2022 and wore a bathing suit with her body hair on show for the first time ever.

She said that she had never felt more confident within herself and classes the moment as one of the most memorable and proud of her life.

However, the body-positive influencer from Quebec, Canada had often been attacked by trolls online but hit back at them.

She explained: “I learnt that I only hated my body hair because I’m a woman, and I was taught to remove it, even though women naturally have hair.

“When I posted pictures for the first time, I remember being so nervous, but I got so many positive comments.

“I really loved the reaction I received from other women because after they had seen my pictures and my content, they felt more comfortable with their body hair.”

Esther added: “Of course, there’s always some negative comments from people that are judgmental.

“I’m now comfortable in my body and I don’t need anybody else’s validation and that would be my advice to you.

“We don’t want everyone to be the same, like robots.

“It’s beautiful to see different people, different faces, different looks when you go outside so it’s really something that we need to embrace.”
