Photographer and traveller Alexander Sukharev, from Moscow, Russia, visited the city of Vorkuta, a coal-mining town that was completely frozen over.
At the time of Alexander’s visit, the temperatures were minus 10 Celsius, which was several degrees above the temperatures noted in the previous days and weeks.
The cold weather had frozen everything in the city, including houses and buildings which were frozen shut and no longer habitable.
