The college student from Boston, Massachusetts, USA, explained: “I wrote in my diary about death and how my whole life had just been a series of little deaths.

“It’s very difficult for me to talk about it, I’m still processing the news.”

On the same day as the allergic reaction, she also received more devastating news that her bloodwork results indicated a dramatic decline in her health.

Despite the shocking turn of events, Asiyah was determined to live her life to the fullest as she continued to attend college and thrown herself into extracurricular projects.

She said: “I started off this day absolutely perfectly.

“I knew I had my infusion later, after I knew I’d feel exhausted after it. I sat there and wrote in my diary about dying.

“I was telling the nurses how excited I was that this medication was finally working – it’s basically the first medication that’s ever worked for me.”

She added: “Within a minute of them plugging me in, I can feel it in my stomach.

“I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

“They rush over and immediately start administering a different medication.

Asiyah claimed that the nurses looked over at her and stated she wouldn’t ever be having that medication ever again.

She added: “At the same time old bloodwork came back and it was looking really bad.

“I also decided to do bulletin boards for collage because if I’m going to die I may as well get stuff done now.”
