In the heartwarming moment, he stares around the room, exploring all the things he never to got to see clearly before.

However, with the help of his mother, Macy Ingram from Trussville, Alabama, USA, Hayden is thriving in his early life and is now attending school.

Macy said: “Hayden has cerebral palsy and was also diagnosed with Cortical vision impairment (CVI).

“CVI means that his eyes are perfectly healthy, but his brain does not receive signals from his eyes.”

Originally the family decided to get Hayden a pair of glasses to stop his eyes from crossing without realising that he would now actually be able to see!

The mother of three has now purchased some devices to help Hayden including a eye gaze communication device which allows him to speak to Macy.

She said: “We knew Hayden would have Cerebral Palsy because of his brain damage at birth but we were determined for him to have as much of  a normal life as usual.

“I’d like to think that we have achieved that!

“He is never not smiling!”
