This courageous Brit has decided to set himself the challenge of traveling from France to Australia on his mountain bike.
Elliott Simcox, from Newquay, UK aimed to complete his journey by the end of April 2025 after starting in July 2024.
The 9,467-mile task hasn’t been easy for Elliott, but he said it was the best thing he’s ever done.

He said: “I knew this was the challenge I needed and a different way of seeing the world!
“I never cycled before this so this has been a completely new experience for me, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!”
The adventurer has had the time of his life so far, managing to visit 18 different countries on his route to the Gold Coast.

After visiting countries in both Europe and Asia, Elliott has fallen in love with Nepal.
He said: “Nepal has to be my favourite, the people are some of the friendliest I’ve come across so far, the food and scenery is out of this world.
“This is where I completed the Annapurna Circuit, a mountain pass higher then Mount Everest’s base camp so it was a huge accomplishment for me.

Elliott explained how he decided to travel all this way to test his capabilities mentally and physically.
He added: “I have always been comfortable working and going about my everyday life within my comfort zone but I needed a challenge!
“One thing I’ve learnt on this trip is that family is so important.
“No matter how harsh the environments I’ve seen so far are you always see how close families are and it always gets me thinking about mine.
“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has been supporting me across social media and back home.”
