Checkout how this woman shared the startling story of how a stranger approached her and told her she had cancer.

Alexandra Shiels, from Courtice, Ontario, was attending a group therapy session when, after the meeting, a woman approached her with a chilling message: she may have thyroid cancer.

Despite being bundled up against the winter chill, a stranger noticed a “lump” on Alexandra’s neck and, after mentioning her own experience with thyroid cancer, warned Alexandra that she might have the condition.

Alexandra’s lump was unable to be seen by the human eye but after some testing, she was sent to a specialist and diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer.

Alexandra admitted that this woman changed everything for her and as a mother she often ignored her own health and felt very disconnected from herself.
