Watch as these devoted football fans fed up with not being able to watch their team play, found a sunnier location to watch the game instead.
Footy-mad Jacob Battersby and his mates, Matt Stokes and George King, all had enough of missing the game on Saturdays at 3 pm, due to the UK’s football blackout rule.
That was when they decided their only answer was to fly over 1,800 miles away to Tenerife, Canary Islands, to watch it there instead.
The trio of mates managed to do the trip in under 24 hours and even made it back in time for the Sunday match at their local pub.
The spontaneous trip worked out to be less than the price of a Sky Sports yearly subscription and plenty to spare for some pints in the sun!
The successful trip was the trio’s first holiday together and their love of football and spontaneity brought them all closer together.
