A heartbreaking sequence of events led to this woman having her marriage called off at the last minute before finding the man of her dreams at her bachelorette party.
Madison Barbosa was at her lowest when her marriage was called off and was convinced by friends to go ahead with the bachelorette party.
Flying out to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Madison was shocked when she hit it off with a mysterious Canadian man.
On her crazy story, she said: “I went from the lowest point in my life to finding the love of my life, that I was not looking for.”
Originally from Houston, Texas, USA, Madison had her entire wedding planned before getting dumped out of the blue.
Despite an expensive wedding and bachelorette party going to waste, Madison’s claims her long-term boyfriend didn’t have any second thoughts about calling the wedding off.
Not wanting the expensive trip to be in vain, Madison and her friends went ahead with the bachelorette party, also known as a hen party.
Using the getaway trip as a healing process, Madison couldn’t believe her luck when, by a hotel pool, she met a mysterious Canadian man.
Being from Texas and the mystery man being from Canada, the pair never expected to see each other again.
However, after being invited to Canada a month after the bachelorette party, she believes this solidified their feelings for each other as they made their relationship official.
With the outbreak of COVID-19 affecting how citizens could enter and re-enter the USA and Canada, the pair decided to get married, to make seeing each other easier.
With Madison and husband, David Barbosa, wanting another child, things could not be going better for the couple.
She said: “I went through the worst breakup of my life.
“It was a very hard thing for me to go through, so I wasn’t interested in going to Mexico.”
Madison added: “We hung out the entire time and the chemistry was through the roof; we could not get enough of each other.
“We didn’t stop talking, we talked every single day, and he was like ‘Why don’t you come up to Canada?’
“I wasn’t looking for a relationship and neither was he, it just kind of happened.
“I truly could not be more grateful for the way that things happened in my life.”
