A young woman is making waves in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA), sharing her journey of life at sea and the vital role she plays in supporting Britain’s naval operations. India Syms, 24, from Bournemouth, UK, pursued a career on the high seas after working as a sailing instructor, leading her to join the RFA in 2019. Following an intense selection process and over three years of training, she became a qualified deck officer in January 2023.
