This self-proclaimed wellness guru has sparked outrage by making homemade placenta fruit gummies before feeding them to her family.

Zoe Durant has insisted that her creation is ‘nature’s superfood’ and is her secret to eternal youth. She reveals that the recipe came about when she was bored.

The wellness guru from Pahoa, Hawaii, USA, told how despite uproar from people online, she believes the snack has nothing but benefits for her family.

She said: “Everyone’s out here trying to reinvent the gummy with collagen, vitamin C, probiotics. I thought, why not take this to the next level?

“After all, the placenta is nature’s superfood. Babies literally live off of this for nine months. Imagine what it can do for an adult.

“I mean, people laughed at Galileo, they laughed at Tesla, and now they’re laughing at me. One day, the world will finally wake up and realize that I wasn’t wrong.”

Zoe, who lives off-grid, shared her shocking recipe in a viral video, detailing her step-by-step method to transform the afterbirth organ into a snack for the whole family.

While she told how many people online have labelled her ‘unhinged’ and a ‘menace to society,’ she remains unfazed and is confident that her creation could change the world.

Her method involves mixing chunks of placenta with organic grape juice, honey, and gelatine to craft the chewy snacks and take away from the typical odd flavour of the organ.

She then pours it into moulds of her choice, with some being fun shapes to make them more appealing for the family.

She told how her family happily eat the snack, with not much choice with her being the one in the kitchen.

She said: “Offer them to your family as like anti-aging vitamin rich super gummy and just watch their reactions before revealing all of the ingredients!

“Kids will eat anything as long as it’s cute or heart-shaped and my partner once ate a gas station sushi roll, so I think he’ll survive this.

“My first impression was , wow, this is really sweet, really zesty. It tastes like citrus, berries, and honey and then, there was this hint of something ancient.

“A deep, mineral-rich flavour. It was almost primal. “

Zoe added: “Ever since I unveiled the truth about what’s inside of my gummies, the internet has been in absolute chaos.

“There has been plenty of dramatic reaction. One person even claimed that they like to throw their phone across the room.

“For every hater, I know that there is a silent army of people who get it. There’s enough of us that we can change the world.”
