A young woman who once toiled for 90 hours a week in the scorching Australian desert has struck gold—swapping her exhausting mining job for a lucrative career in adult content work, where she now makes three times the money in a fraction of the time.
Kenzie Greaves, 24, from Gold Coast, Queensland, was earning $3,000 AUD (£1.5k GBP, $1,800 USD) a week as a miner. But after realizing how much she could make part-time as an adult content creator, she made the bold decision to quit her job and go full-time.
Now, she earns around $10,000 AUD (£5k GBP, $6k USD) a week while working significantly fewer hours.
Sharing her journey on TikTok, Kenzie explained her life-changing career switch: “I don’t want to slave away in the desert for 90 hours a week for $3,000 when I can make that in two days in little hours.”
While she was initially running her adult content business as a side hustle, word quickly spread among her mining colleagues. Despite some comments from coworkers, Kenzie was determined to prove them wrong.
Her demanding daily routine in mining consisted of waking up at 2 AM to hit the gym before heading to her 12.5-hour shifts. But after noticing the income rolling in from her online work, she decided to make the jump.
“I was making extreme amounts of money compared to what I was making on the site,” she revealed.
“I get to work whenever I want, do the hours I get to do, and prioritize my gym time. I didn’t want to slave away for 90 hours a week for $3k when I can make that in two days.”
Kenzie now works just six hours over two days, less than a single shift at the mining site.
When she handed in her notice, many of her colleagues already knew about her online content.
“I was very open when I was working there. I told them that I was just making too much money online and that I couldn’t balance and focus on both jobs at the same time,” she said.
“Most of them were really understanding. They told me to go for it.”
Since making the switch, Kenzie has built a massive social media following, including 23,000 followers on Instagram, and now enjoys complete freedom over her schedule.
“The opportunities that this job has given me, with the money, I can live the lifestyle I want, and I can focus on my gym training,” she said.
“This job has opened a lot of doors; I’ve made many more friends doing this job and I get to go away.”
Now, Kenzie wakes up at a relaxed 6 AM, enjoys a morning walk, and spends two hours at the gym before working from home, heading to the beach, or exploring the town.
In addition to her online work, Kenzie has become a gym wear ambassador, receiving free fitness clothing for modeling brands online.
Her story has sparked debate online, but Kenzie has no regrets about swapping hard labor in the mines for financial freedom and flexibility.
