A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of western and central New York as a cold front brings snow to the region.

The National Weather Service predicts up to 9 inches of snow in areas like Watertown, with Monroe County expecting over an inch.
Gusty winds of 30-40 mph are also expected as this may become the snowiest season in the past 20 years, reaching 135.2 inches.
To date, Rochester has seen 86.6 inches of snow this season, just shy of the typical 102-inch average.
