Spanish residents and tourists have been issued warnings after flash floods hit the popular holiday island of Lanzarote.

Przemyslaw Szloch captured the clips of the devastating floods in hit the streets and shores of Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, Spain.

The Spanish Island has received over a year’s worth of rainfall in just over three hours.

Torrential rain dumped 6cm of water, flooding homes, cutting power to hotels, and turning roads into rivers of mud.

The UK Foreign Office has warned travellers that several areas, including Costa Teguise and Arrecife, remain severely affected.
