A little girl has left the internet in tears after her parents shared an emotional gender reveal video that shows her clutching a memorial pillow of her late baby sister.
Ally Condrin, from McKinney, Texas, USA, filmed the touching moment her daughter Daniella discovered she was going to be a big sister again while holding a custom pillow with the face of Joelle, her younger sibling who heartbreakingly passed away at just two years old.
Daniella, six, pops a balloon to release a flurry of pink confetti, signalling the arrival of another baby girl.
Ally said: “We really wanted to make sure we captured Daniella’s reaction to finding out she was going to have a baby sister again – especially because we knew beforehand that it was a girl.
“We knew she was going to be over-the-moon excited. We had found out earlier that day.”
Daniella and Joelle were inseparable, and their close bond lives on with the youngster even reading books beside pictures of her sister.
The bittersweet moment had an impact on Ally and her partner as well as the millions of people who saw it online.
The parents discovered the gender of their new baby the night before they revealed it to their eldest daughter.
Ally explains: “The night before we found out the baby’s gender, Daniella made sure to pray to God that He would give her a baby sister (but that a baby boy would be okay too).
“Daniella made certain to ask us the night before if we could reveal the gender to her via balloon! “It made me feel as I expected it would, bittersweet.”
She added: “So sweet to be able to let Daniella know she was going to have another sister, and the sad part of course is that Joelle is not here to also celebrate the news with us.
“A lot of people sharing that the video touched their heart, made them cry or that they normally hate gender reveal videos but seem to really love this one in particular.”
