The 2025 NFL Draft took a surprising turn as Jacksonville made a bold move, trading up to snag versatile sensation Travis Hunter at No. 2, while highly anticipated quarterback Shedeur Sanders was left waiting in the wings.

The 2025 NFL Draft kicked off with the Tennessee Titans selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward as the first overall pick, sending four picks to the Cleveland Browns.

Meanwhile, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, considered by some as a better prospect than Ward, was left undrafted in the first round, leaving him to wait until the second round to find a team.

The New York Giants secured the third pick, selecting Penn State’s Abdul Carter to strengthen their defence.

Other notable picks included the Patriots selecting offensive tackle Will Campbell to protect their quarterback, and the Las Vegas Raiders addressing their rushing needs with running back Ashton Jeanty.

The first round also saw Arizona and Chicago bolster their rosters with key offensive players, while the Packers delighted their fans by picking wide receiver Matthew Golden at No 23.
