Six Flags America is shutting down its Maryland theme park and water park in a major shake-up of the company.
The park, home to the historic Wild One roller coaster, will close for good on November 2, 2025.
Officials cited the site as ‘not a strategic fit’ and plan to sell the 500-acre property for redevelopment.
While the closure has sparked disappointment from the local community, county leaders say the land presents a unique opportunity for future growth.
