For most children, Disneyland is a rite of passage, but for Frank, a 93-year-old grandfather the happiest place on earth had remained just a dream.
That changed recently when his granddaughter, Jasmine Kurkowski, made that dream a reality, taking her beloved grandpa on his very first trip to Disneyland.
The 28-year-old from Santa Fe, Nex Mexico, USA, learnt that her grandpa had never been on any of the rides so wanted to make sure he had the best day of his life.
She said: “I told him back in February that I wanted to take him.
“I didn’t want it to be a surprise, I wanted to make sure he felt up to it, especially considering his age.”
Frank, who had only been to Epcot at Disney World once years ago with his late wife and didn’t go on a single ride, had never experienced the magic of the original Disneyland park in California.
But on this special trip, he finally met Mickey Mouse, gave Goofy a big hug, and soaked in the wonder of Walt’s dreamland.
The heartwarming day left Jasmine overflowing with emotion, and clearly had an effect on people online too, gaining over 900,000 views on TikTok already.
