A powerful 4.1 magnitude earthquake rocked east Tennessee, sending shockwaves across several states, including parts of Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, and Virginia.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, Tennessee frequently experiences minor quakes, with 21 smaller tremors recorded in the last 30 days.
Despite the tremor’s noticeable impact, experts say it typically causes only minor damage and only reported light shaking in Knoxville.
