Three people were dramatically rescued after a small plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean near Vero Beach, Florida.

The single-engine aircraft went down about four miles east of the Vero Beach Airport.

Multiple agencies, including the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Coast Guard, and two helicopter crews, quickly responded and located the survivors using aerial surveillance.

All three individuals were pulled from the water safely and transported to the Coast Guard Station in Fort Pierce with no reported fatalities.
