An adventurer filmed the moment he walked on cracked clay pans in the middle of a desert, and the sound they made was strangely satisfying. Jay Caboz, 34, filmed the amazing scenery in Namibia’s Namib Naukluft National Park, home of the Sossuvlei clay pans, in March 2021. The clay pans aren’t normally like this, but according to Jay, large volumes of unexpected rainfall filled them and after a few weeks they dried up, forming fields of cracked clay. In Jay’s video, the pans make a strangely satisfying noise as he walks over them.
