Sharing snaps and videos online, Ali revealed the hilarious and heartwarming details of her ‘boob bash’ – complete with breast-shaped cakes, decorations, and even cheeky mastectomy-themed t-shirts.

“I personally feel like each milestone within your cancer journey is worth celebrating. “I’m also a big believer in making lemonade out of lemons and finding the light within the darkness of everything. So for me, it was a really great way to say goodbye to one chapter and say hello to the next.”

Ali had always known she was at high risk of developing breast cancer and underwent regular scans, but one day, her worst fears were confirmed – doctors found something unusual.

Although heartbroken, Ali wasn’t entirely surprised due to her family history. However, nothing could prepare her for the gruelling road ahead – chemotherapy drained her strength, and the thought of losing her breasts was emotionally overwhelming.

But in her darkest moments, Ali found strength in an unlikely place – the breast cancer survivor community. Two women she met online, who had fought their own battles with the disease, decided to give her the ultimate send-off before surgery.

Walking into the party, Ali was blown away by the effort her new friends had made. The room was bursting with boob-themed banners, cakes, and snacks – all shaped like breasts!

“We did a biopsy, and from there, I was told that it was cancer. Obviously, getting this news really flipped my world upside down. “Chemotherapy honestly was the hardest part of this journey, but a double mastectomy and losing my natural breasts obviously was a really big deal for me as well. “I personally never wanted implants in my life, so the fact that I pretty much had to get them unless I wanted to go flat was definitely something that I had to process and grieve. “I definitely was nervous going into it. It’s not really a short, quick, and easy procedure.”

“The two people who planned the party are also breast cancer survivors that I met online through social media. “So, I walked in, and everything was booby-themed! All of the food, they got me this really cute bag that said, ‘I have a shtty ttty, but I will survive.’ “I think that it’s great to be grateful that you’re able to go on to the next step and that we have these advances in medicine and access to great healthcare. “I would encourage anyone who’s going through the same thing as me or who knows someone who’s going through the same thing as me to really encourage celebrating the milestones within your or their cancer journey.”
