Checkout this daring rescue of a hiker trapped high on the cliffside of the Pacific Crest Trail.

Rescue 9 was called to the Whitewater area of the trail, just south of San Bernardino County after a hiker became stuck on the Californian cliffs.

The woman in need was able to send an emergency text to 911 and emergency services were able to get her to safety after an intense and technical rescue.

Exhausted, carrying a heavy pack, and stuck in a precarious spot for over an hour, rescuers made the bold decision to bear-hug her and climb to safety.
