According to NASA the probability of asteroid 2024 YR4 striking Earth in 2032 has increased to 3.1%, sparking concern online.
The asteroid is estimated to measure 40 to 90 metres across which is far smaller to the asteroid that experts believe killed the dinosaurs, which was estimated to be 6 to 9 miles in length.
This video shows an object around one metre long entering the Earth’s atmosphere in Toronto, Canada back in 2022.
