This former Tory MP assistant has embarked on a journey to down a pint in all 650 constituencies.
Jay Chan created ‘Chanservatives’, his own political party, shortly after Lizz Truss’ time ended at 10 Downing Street.
The teenager, who was the assistant to Marco Longhi, former MP for Dudley North in the West Midlands, decided that this was the only way to ‘save the traditional British pub.’

Jay, from Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, UK, said: “My experience in pubs has shaped my view and passion on it.
After building up thousands of followers on social media the budding politician put together his own manifesto named ‘the five-pint policy’.
Jay wanted to scrap the 20% charge on food and drinks sold in pubs and give pubs a 30% reduction on alcohol duties.
The teen also wanted to ensure that a smoking ban was not introduced for pub gardens as well as abolishing the ‘nightlife curfew.’

Point three of his manifesto talked about introducing the Welsh style of interim protection to buildings pending to be listed as ACV’s (asset of community value) in England and strengthening the community’s right to bid.
Finally, he wanted to encourage local authorities to provide communities with resources and support listing their local heritage pubs and ensure people in power understand the importance of pubs and their history, making sure local MP’s visit and listen to landlords more.
Chan had completed 7% of his task after recently downing a pint of locally brewed ale in the Wolverhampton South East constituency meaning that he had ticked of 48 different areas.

Despite Jay’s impressive pint-chugging ability, many followers have questioned whether his goal of completing all 650 constituencies is possible.
After admitting that the challenge may take him well over a decade, Jay said that he wanted to unite us all despite our political differences via ‘the magic pint.’
He said: ” I want to see a net increase of numbers of pubs, and the current figure is around 2000 closure and 200 new ones.
“My favourite so far is The Dukes Inn – I loved it, it’s so funny – or the first one in Nottingham East Ye Old Trip, when I downed two pints with the whole garden cheering.”
