Murphy was taken to the vets after his owner Kacey Spike, from Bristol, UK, had noticed that he had been under the weather for a couple of days and was struggling to walk.
He was quickly diagnosed with acquired hydrocephalus, a form of brain tumour which often increases pressure inside the skull.
The poor dachshund then underwent surgery on the growth and despite some stitches the pup began his successful road to recovery.
