This determined dad transformed his body after feeling like he was killing himself with a fast food habit that saw him eat 50 takeaways a month.
Food critic, Matt Binge, has gone from kebabs to abs after previously making his way through 10,000 calories each day.
At his heaviest, he weighed 24st 4lbs (341.6lb ) and was genuinely scared for his life.
So when his wife discovered she was pregnant with their first child he knew had to make some changes.

Matt was reviewing seven to ten food venues per week where he would dig into multiple meals from the menu with all the sides and desserts.
However, he explains that his diet outside of work was also out of control and he had no limit on the biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks and chocolate he was consuming.
His huge eating habits left him feeling like he was about to have a heart attack or stroke at any given time.

Matt, from Cambridgeshire, UK, said: “I was effectively killing myself.
“I was fat but I was also inflated and bloated – even putting my socks on or getting in and out of a car was an issue.
“When we found out my wife was pregnant I decided to have a blood test and the results were scary.
“I wanted to be around to watch our new baby grow up so I knew I needed to take drastic action.”

In 2022, Matt and his wife discovered they were expecting their first baby and he decided to undergo some blood tests.
The results came as a wake-up call for the dad-to-be and it pushed him to start his weight loss and fitness journey.
He said: “Through lifting heavy, training hard and fast, and having more balance with food, I’ve managed to turn my life around.
“I just wanted to be happy and healthy, and to not feel like I was waiting for a stroke.”

Matt has always been a foodie and started doing food reviews five years ago which eventually ended up being his full-time job.
However, he was regularly reviewing food venues that were mainly fast food such as pizza, burgers, fish and chips and desserts, and his weight spiralled out of control.
For his job he travels a lot and is constantly on the road so snacking quick and easy unhealthy food became routine.
Matt admitted that if he needed to stop at a petrol station for a drink, he would end up buying a chocolate bar, two packets of crisps and a sausage roll.

Matt recalls feeling unhappy and depressed as a result of his toxic lifestyle.
As a result of his toxic lifestyle, Matt felt unhappy and depressed and struggled with self-esteem, confidence, finding clothes that fit him and walking.
He said: “I wanted to be around for our new son.
“I had to teach myself how to control my eating and how to enjoy everything in moderation.”

Since then he has totally transformed himself and his life, and after shedding 4st 7lbs [66lbs], he now sports a muscular physique.
Outside of his work, Matt now eats a very clean and balanced diet and got himself a training coach to help him with his weight loss journey.
He said “I started lifting weights and my cardio was going for small walks.
“I really enjoyed lifting weights so it kept me going back which was great.
“I quickly developed a love for it and I was excited to do it each day.”

Matt now doesn’t see the gym as a chore and has eventually dropped the calroies on focused on eating cleaner foods and reducing portion sizes.
He added: “Then when I started seeing progression and results, it gave me more momentum as it was evidence that what I was doing was working.
“I feel great now. Every aspect of my life has changed -including personal and business relationships.
“I think being in good physical shape says something about you as a person before you even speak compared to being fat, sluggish and a bit of a slob.”

He said: “I’m a big believer in the fact that good food that we enjoy doesn’t have to be bad for us, we just need to have more balance.
“There’s nothing wrong with getting together with your family on a Friday and ending the week with a takeaway. It’s just important to live with a bit of control.”
Since turning his back on his toxic lifestyle, Matt has discovered the importance of balance and has transformed his body and life.
