At least seven people have died as thunderstorms and tornadoes ravaged several US states, with more severe weather expected.

The death toll has continued to climb following devastating flooding and the aftermath of a relentless tornado outbreak that ripped through parts of the South and Midwest, leaving entire communities in devastation.

Hunter Lee captured this terrifying footage of the north end of the Warren County Tornado, causing wind tunnels in Kentucky, US.

Fatalities were reported in Tennessee, Indiana, and Missouri as thousands have been left without power, and homes have been destroyed.

A flood watch is in effect for at least 33 million people across 11 states, with the National Weather Service warning of a heightened flash flooding risk that will persist for the next several days.
