This shocking footage shows the damage the latest spread of bushfires left across Grampians National Park in Australia.

Lana Brown and her partner, Luke, both volunteered as firefighters and explained how this is one of the most intense fires they’ve dealt with.

Lana, from Victoria, Australia, captured a series of clips as she fought the fires alongside incredible teams of firefighters who came together to put the flames out.

Lana captured the heartbreaking scene of the national park bursting into flames, with no sign of slowing down, as teams rushed to calm down the damage.

However, she did confirm that no human lives were hurt or lost during the tragic bushfires.

She said: “My response to seeing these bushfires was just sadness for all the devastation and loss.

“However, as a firefighter attending these fires, working together with everyone gives you a real sense of community, friendship and comradery.

“You put your trust in your team and those on your truck and they put their trust in you.

“People came from all over the country to help fight the fire. We even had to leave our son over the holidays to help out.”

She added: “The community reaction has been really good and heartwarming.

“It’s been getting shared around and I think it’s great that it’s spreading awareness.

“A lot of the fire fighters are volunteers meaning they don’t get paid but knowing we have made a difference, and potentially saved lives is more valuable than any amount of money in your pockets.

“Fighting this fire has truly been a team effort and couldn’t have been done without the help of forest fire management, firefighter crews, air support, even local councils and farmers lending equipment and especially the community, the police and all other emergency services all played their part.”
