A fan was critically injured after falling from the stands onto the field during Wednesday’s Pirates-Cubs game at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
The man fell from the right-field bleachers above the 21-foot Clemente Wall and landed on the warning track, prompting an immediate response from medics and police.
Another person jumped from a lower section of the wall to assist before the victim was stretchered off and taken to the hospital.
The game was paused for 10 minutes as shaken players knelt and prayed on the field.
