Check out the crazy moment a speed flyer crashes into a mountain right after take off and continues to tumble down the rocky cliffs.
James Gavin, 41, was out speed flying when suddenly it all started to go wrong, with the heating engineer slamming into the mountain and tumbling down the rocky sides – all while mid-air.
Fortunately, he says that he survived the incident with ‘minor injuries.’
James, from South Lanarkshire, Scotland, said: “I had an accident while Speed flying in Glencoe, Scotland.
“I fell while trying to launch and then proceeded to fly off the edge backwards and spin while the wing was diving into the rocks and bouncing me off the mountainside.
“Mountain rescue was called and I had to be casevaced by helicopter due to the steep terrain. Luckily, I only suffered relatively minor injuries with ligament damage to both ankles, damage to my knee, general cuts and bruises, and I had split my elbow open and chipped the bone, which required an operation.”
