This woman revealed the shocking truth that she unknowingly ran a marathon while in heart failure.
Madi DiBattista, 25, from Cincinnati, Ohio, US, appeared outwardly healthy and had completed a half marathon just six weeks before she was diagnosed with heart failure.
Doctors were stunned by how she had maintained such intense physical activity for more than a decade while unknowingly living with a serious heart condition.
She said: “I was 24 years old and I went into heart failure.
“One in 5,000 people get this diagnosis, and there was no way that I could’ve lived another 10 years on this heart.”
