This little girl showed remarkable bravery when she cut off her long, blonde hair after beginning chemotherapy – and she did it with a smile.
In footage filmed by her mum Jodie, from Pontefract, West Yorkshire, UK, you can see daughter Penny with her hair in bunches smiling as she bravely begins the process of cutting it off.
The difficult decision was made after Penny was diagnosed with bone marrow failure that required her to have a stem cell transplant in March 2022.
Ahead of the transplant, Penny began chemotherapy in September 2022, which sadly resulted in losing her blonde locks whenever she brushed her hair, just two weeks into her treatment.
Mum, Jodie, said Penny was ‘totally game’ for taking control of the situation and cutting her hair short from the moment it was mentioned.
While Penny eventually lost all of her hair as a result of her treatment, her blonde locks began growing back 5 months later.
After her transplant, she is now cured from her condition with a full head of curly, blonde hair!
