British tourists have been issued a travel warning after flash floods hit the popular holiday island of Lanzarote.

Lucy Kennedy captured the clips of the devastating floods whilst on holiday in Lanzarote, Spain.

The Spanish Island has received over a year’s worth of rainfall in just over three hours.

Torrential rain dumped 6cm of water, flooding homes, cutting power to hotels, and turning roads into rivers of mud.

The UK Foreign Office has warned travellers that several areas, including Costa Teguise and Arrecife, remain severely affected.
