From marrying at first sight to marrying in secret, this reality TV star is no secret to a spontaneous wedding.
Married at First Sight Australia star, Ella Ding left her birthday guests stunned as she revealed in a heartwarming video that she had got married in secret earlier that day.
The TV star and her now husband, Guy Palermo decided to hold their wedding secretly before revealing it at Ella’s 30th birthday party through a video made up of childhood clips which fade into footage from their big day.
From Melbourne, Australia, Ella told how her Great Gatsby themed party was a much better alternative to a big wedding.
She said: “I did already have a party planner helping with the 30th which was Small Things & Co and they had come up with the idea of turning it into a surprise wedding knowing I wasn’t going to have a wedding and it just felt right, it was a no brainer!
“Then my creatives got flowing and we both came up with the concept of filming and editing quickly to them show at the party.”
The reality star and her partner always knew that they’d prefer a small wedding so the idea of a secret wedding with just the two of them was a no brainer.
Ella told how it was a minimalistic day with hints of red alongside her white wedding dress, something she’d always wanted and only a few close relatives were involved, having been told the day before that it was going ahead.
When finally revealing the moment to everyone else at her party, she immediately burst into tears of joy as it was also her first time seeing it.
She said: “I was honestly just so excited for it all, on an absolute high – and no stress knowing it’s just our parents & brothers waiting at the arrival.
“I didn’t want to see the video until everyone else did, I wanted to be in the moment with them enjoying the love story unfold in front of us.
“The reactions were priceless, and it was just the best moment ever. I have re watched the reaction video pretty much every day since.
“I wouldn’t change anything at all, it exceeded my imagination, the highlight of my day was seeing my friends & family so happy for us and so touched by the experience, seeing that my cup just over flowed.”
In the video you can see Ella’s Married at First Sight co-star and best friend Domynique Kloss burst into tears of happiness.
Ella’s guests were seen open mouthed and teary eyed in shock as they watched on in their 1920s inspired outfits, before the room erupted into cheers of joy.
