With spooky season in full swing, this haunted doll collector has revealed that he believes the creepy dolls are his spirit children.
Kevin Cain sees himself as a father figure to the 300-plus dolls in his collection – some of whom have reportedly even called him ‘Daddy’.
Kevin’s journey into the world of supernatural collecting began when he got his first doll, Patty, over a decade ago.
However, Kevin started to notice ‘anomalies’ in the pictures he took of it, he realised Patty was haunted, and this was where his paranormal love began.

Kevin, who lives in Alabama, USA, said: “I am pretty much a spirit father to the child spirits in my collection.
“In the collection that I have, it is mostly children haunting the dolls, especially girls because in life they loved dolls.
“The dolls and items with child spirits do tend to be a little more active because children are more curious and tend to play with items and move them around.
“I have over 300 dolls in my collection – I stopped counting when I hit that number.”

Kevin, a paranormal investigator and author, said that as well as taking care of his many dolls, he takes in allegedly haunted dolls and items like paintings and jewellery.
While he believes the items are haunted, he has a strong faith in God and doesn’t believe he will ever be harmed by them.
Despite this Kevin admits he has been made to feel physically sick by a doll before and one of the dolls in his collection allegedly physically harmed its previous owner.

Kevin admitted that his doll Lori was reported to have caused scratches and violent nightmares to her prior owner and the owner’s roommate.
Kevin added: “She contacted me through my Facebook page and told me the story of how she bought the doll on eBay and was advised it was a doll that would bring luck and protection.
“Instead, only a few weeks after the doll’s arrival, the girl and her roommate had the feeling of being watched, and woke up with scratches on their arms and legs – they had similar violent nightmares, and one morning the girl woke up feeling hands strangling her until she prayed for help and the hands went away.
“I offered to take the doll. I blessed the doll with holy water and prayer, and I enclosed her in case covered in holy water as well.
“It has kept quiet since, and the prior owner has not been harmed since.”

Kevin explained how speaking to the dolls and offering ‘hellos’ and ‘good mornings’ and typical daily banter keeps them happy.
He said: “I also try to keep them as clean and dusted as possible, but with such a large collection, it proves to be a task.
“As long as they get some kind of attention or affectionate words, they are usually happy.”

Kevin shared his advice for anyone who thinks they have a haunted doll: “My advice is to please be very careful and very protective of that doll.
“If it’s a good spirit, please be respectful toward them.
“You might want to pay a little more attention to them like talking to them, so they know you’re acknowledging their presence, but be careful because you can also accidentally attract other spirits by doing so.”

Kevin added that setting some ground rules and letting them know they are welcome is important, and will ensure other spirits won’t ‘come through’.
Kevin said: “If you need to get rid of a doll, you should always contact a professional like me or reach out to your local paranormal team.
“You don’t want a haunted doll to go just anywhere.
“You want to make sure that that item is homed with someone who knows what they’re doing and has the experience needed to take care of it properly.”
Kevin seems to have proven that the paranormal world isn’t as easy as it seems!
