A Minnesota man has formed extraordinary friendships with wild and domestic animals—creating a unique connection with creatures big and small.

Rex Colubra has built trust with a group of North American grey squirrels, raccoons, and crows, alongside his pet boas, dog, and cat. Around a dozen squirrels visit him regularly, with some taking food directly from his hands. One raccoon, Balloo, even allows him to pet her and sit in his lap.

Rex’s deep respect for animals has allowed him to form bonds that few others experience, but he stresses the importance of patience and understanding.
