New research shows that regularly consuming black tea, berries, citrus fruits, and apples – foods rich in flavonoids – may promote healthier ageing.

The 24-year study found women with the highest flavonoid intake had up to 15% lower risk of frailty, physical decline, and poor mental health.

While results were stronger in women, men also saw benefits, particularly in mental health.

Experts say these simple dietary choices could significantly improve quality of life as we age.
