After years of infertility, these hopeful parents adopted triplets – only to discover days later that they were expecting a baby of their own.

Mackenzie Levasseur, 32, from Iowa, US, began the fostering process with her husband, Lovensky, 31, after struggling with infertility for seven years.

Just when they were losing hope, they were urgently called to foster three baby boys – triplets in need of a home.

Desperate to keep the brothers together, the couple welcomed them into their lives and finally fulfilled their dream of becoming parents.

However their journey was far from over as less than a week later, Mackenzie discovered she was pregnant.

Mackenzie and Lovensky had married young and chose to wait before starting a family, but when pregnancy didn’t come easily, they turned to the fostering process.

Though overwhelmed by the thought of suddenly caring for four children, the couple embraced the challenge with open hearts.
