Following the tragic plane crash in San Diego’s Murphy Canyon neighbourhood, the San Diego Humane Society responded quickly to assist animals affected by the disaster.

Humane Law Enforcement Officers rescued eight dogs exposed to jet fuel, providing urgent medical care and decontamination, with additional puppies treated at a separate campus.

The organisation is also offering emergency boarding and reuniting evacuated families with their pets.

At Miller Elementary School, staff are supporting displaced pet owners with temporary shelter and essential supplies.
