A Mexican navy training vessel collided with New York’s Brooklyn Bridge while reversing on the East River, resulting in significant damage. The ship, Cuauhtemoc, was carrying 277 people when its towering masts struck the underside of the bridge. Video captures the vessel flying a large Mexican flag as its masts broke off and it drifted toward the Brooklyn shoreline. Naval cadets in white uniforms were seen clinging to the rigging as stunned onlookers watched from nearby.
