A teenage woman has revealed how her rare pregnancy ended in heartbreak as she discovered her baby didn’t develop properly.
While anticipating the arrival of a baby, Rylie Calano soon realised there was a shocking twist in her pregnancy that would leave her traumatised.
Soon before the Christmas period, Rylie began to feel unwell as she failed to keep her food down and was left in constant pain.

The teen mom eventually learned her baby didn’t form properly due to having a molar pregnancy.
Rylie, from Queen Creek, Arizona, USA, said: “This pregnancy is so uncommon and rare that when you feel the things that you’re feeling when you’re pregnant, you don’t think somethings wrong.
“I had no idea about it, my family had no idea or any of the doctors or nurses.
“I found out that I lost my baby, and I was heartbroken because I was so excited that I was going to be a mum. I always wanted to be a young mum.”

It wasn’t until Boxing Day that Rylie finally decided to act on the symptoms she’d been experiencing for weeks as she went to hospital.
Feeling lightheaded, nauseous and hallucinating were just some of the horrific symptoms Rylie felt.
Blood tests were done, and she was examined by an ultrasound which soon dealt Rylie the devasting news she had no baby.
She was told through a text as she received updates about her ultrasound before being told verbally by medics.

The initial thoughts were that Rylie had a miscarriage after the ultrasound showed ‘no signs of life’.
Immediately, Rylie and her boyfriend were left ‘heartbroken’ after they were both excited to have their first baby together four years into their relationship.
The hairstylist had some remaining bleeding and was told she had tumours from where her baby once was, according to Rylie.
A molar pregnancy occurs when there is an issue with the fertilised egg. After conception, the baby and placenta don’t develop the way they should.
It affects one in every 590 pregnancies in the UK, according to Cancer Research UK.

Speaking more about her rare pregnancy story, Rylie explained: “I got an ultrasound done and they said I was five weeks.
“My boyfriend and I have been together for almost four years now – we were both ecstatic, we were so excited!
“It started a couple days before Christmas when I was supposed to have another ultrasound done and I started not to feel right.
“I was having extreme nausea, vomiting, I didn’t eat or drink anything, but I couldn’t keep anything down for about four days and I was in constant pain.
“I got a text message that I had a miscarriage, and I was just in denial that this was happening to me.
“I thought that I was just dehydrated.
“When the tech wasn’t talking to me it was making me nervous because usually, they talk to me, and I just wasn’t looking for anything other than my baby.”
