Animals are attempting too cool down as Texas is enduring an early-season heatwave, with temperatures soaring to triple figures.

Shelby Mae Cook captured this footage of local farm animals attempting to find relief from the heat in a small pond.

The heat has been so intense that Texas has recently been hotter than Death Valley, California, the hottest place on Earth.

Experts are warning of serious health risks, especially for those without air conditioning or enough water, as the scorching temperatures continue into next week.

The heat is also putting a strain on the state’s power grid, as energy demand surges with air conditioners running full blast.
