Storm Olivier is set to hit popular holiday destinations in Spain and Portugal, bringing heavy rain and strong winds.

The Canary Islands will be particularly affected, with up to 90mm of rain expected, and yellow and orange warnings are in place for several islands, including Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

The storm will move to the Iberian Peninsula on Thursday, impacting areas like Andalusia and Murcia with thunderstorms and hail.

By the weekend, heavy rainfall will spread across Galicia, Castile and León, and Madrid.

Temperatures will also drop by up to eight degrees in southern Spain.
