Believing she had an interested buyer, Angella agreed to the buyer’s request to transfer the money first before receiving the shoes.
She was then directed to a page that seemed linked to her online banking, and after clicking through several links, she unwittingly processed a payment to a scammer.
It wasn’t until later that night, after going out for dinner, that Angella realized she had sent $900 to a stranger.
