Checkout this incredible footage of the world’s largest and oldest iceberg as it nears a crash into a remote British owned island.

The A23a iceberg, which is twice the size of Greater London, rests on the continental shelf in the South Atlantic.

This massive 1-trillion-ton block of ice had remained grounded in the Weddell Sea for over 30 years before drifting towards South Georgia.

Since 2020, it has been moving with ocean currents, and warmer waters may eventually cause it to break up and melt.

Piet van den Bemd captured this insane footage and with the iceberg’s potential crash putting the lives of penguins and seals in serious danger, these scenes are even more terrifying.
